100% of C2C Tutors Complete NCERT–Google for Education AI Certification

C2C student and C2C teacher at SPRJK Trust

We believe learning never stops, and this is true for both students and educators.

We’re proud to share that as of June 2026, 100% of C2C tutors have completed the “AI in Education: Empowering Educators for Future-Ready India” certification, offered by NCERT and Google for Education through the DIKSHA platform.

The program gave our tutors hands-on exposure to how AI can support teaching and learning. Through tools like Gemini, we explored how AI can strengthen lesson planning, simplify complex concepts, generate learning materials, and reduce time spent on routine tasks. The course also emphasized something equally important: the responsible and ethical use of AI in education.

Our tutors work closely with girls across diverse learning levels, and we’re always focused on making learning more engaging, accessible, and effective. This training will help us better personalize support, deepen understanding, and build stronger learning experiences in the classroom.

As education evolves, AI literacy is becoming an essential skill for both students and educators. This is especially important for girls and young women. Research shows that women are often concentrated in roles most exposed to AI-driven disruption while remaining underrepresented in AI-related fields, making AI literacy increasingly important for long-term equity and opportunity.

By investing in this training today, we’re helping ensure our students are better prepared to participate in the future of work and also to shape it.

We’re grateful to NCERT, Google for Education, and DIKSHA for making this opportunity accessible, and we’re excited to bring these learnings into our classrooms.

Inside the C2C Hyderabad Project

Students at CSS

In the outskirts of Hyderabad, India, where many families are focused on daily needs and financial stability, education for girls is often difficult to access. Through a partnership between C2C, the Center for Social Service (CSS), and Triveni Turbines, that is starting to change.

Now in its third year, the STEM + Counseling + Life Skills program reached 434 girls at the Nimmagadda Anandamma Memorial (NAM) Girls School this year. The program brings together TechLab classes, Vedic Math, career counseling, and digital literacy to help girls build practical skills, confidence, and clearer pathways to higher education and careers.

Last year, students completed more than 2,200 hours of learning through in-person and virtual instruction. They built websites and simple apps, participated in robotics activities, and strengthened their math skills through hands-on practice.

Teachers reported a 17% year-over-year improvement in computer science understanding and a 27% improvement in applying math and science concepts.

To contextualize these results, we compared student performance to ASER benchmarks (a nationally used assessment of foundational learning in India’s public schools). On these comparisons, 100% of C2C girls in grades 3–5 were able to solve simple math problems, compared to about 50% in the general population. Among C2C students in grades 6–8, 99% solved math problems correctly, compared to roughly 40% in the general population.

Across the program, teachers also observed steady, double-digit gains in confidence, communication, creativity and problem-solving skills over the year.

For many students, the change is also about what they now believe is possible.

Students like Swaroopa, who faced abandonment and instability at a young age, are now pursuing college degrees and career aspirations in business and accounting. Renuka, who lost her father at a young age, is studying mathematics, statistics, and computer science. She says, “I hope to become a data analyst to support my family one day.”

The impact is also visible at the school level. Enrollment at NAM Girls School increased by 10% this year, reflecting stronger community trust and growing interest in girls’ education.

In regions where many schools still lack basic computer labs and educational resources, programs like this one by C2C provides more than infrastructure and access to learning. We believe that’s where the work begins, not ends.

Our C2C model of Access, Elevation, and Agency is designed to support girls at different stages of their journey, whether they are just entering the program or preparing for next steps after graduation.

At its core, the work is simple: when girls have access to strong education and support, they build skills and confidence that carry forward into their families and communities.

Creating Pathways for Tribal Girls in Gujarat

Girls from Muni Seva Ashram engaging in community visits

When girls are given real opportunity, the ripple effects can be extraordinary. Over the past six years, C2C has partnered with the Guru Krupa Foundation to bring expanded learning opportunities to tribal girls studying at schools run by Muni Seva Ashram in Gujarat. What began as a focused program in one school has steadily grown into a multi-school initiative reaching more than 420 girls each year and continuing improvement in outcomes.

A Challenging Starting Point

The girls at Muni Seva Ashram come from tribal communities where access to quality education is limited. In surrounding rural areas, several villages share a single K–5 school, and learning gaps remain significant. According to recent ASER data, only 26% of Grade 3 students can perform basic subtraction, and just 25% of Grade 5 students can read simple English sentences. Many of the girls grow up hearing stories of early marriage, financial hardship, or older students leaving school before completing their education. In this context, classrooms can sometimes feel quiet and hesitant.

For many students, the residential school at MSA represents their first opportunity to pursue sustained secondary education from grade 6 onwards. However, C2C recognizes that opportunity alone does not guarantee outcomes when girls are coming from challenging backgrounds. The objective is clear: build the academic strength and confidence necessary for these girls to compete for professional career pathways and jobs of the future.

Building Skills for the Future

Since 2020, support from the Guru Krupa Foundation has enabled C2C to introduce programs at MSA that strengthen both general academic performance and essential life skills. These include:

  • Spoken English and Language Lab programs

  • Computer Science, STEM enrichment and Robotics Labs

  • Vedic Mathematics

  • Counseling and mentoring services along with collaborative learning activities

Together, these programs are designed to develop the 4C’s: Confidence, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Communication.

Measurable Results

The results have been both visible in classrooms and measurable in outcomes that we have observed over the past five years:

  • Board exam passing has improved from 87.5% in 2021 to 100% in the most recent academic year

  • We have seen a ~5% year over year improvement in English, Math, Science and other allied subjects from grades 6-12 over the last 5 years.

  • Increased confidence in girls of ~ 23% each year over the project period.

  • 99% program attendance demonstrating strong student engagement

  • 45+ girls have been supported into higher education, including fields such as nursing, engineering, and science.

For communities where professional careers for girls were once rare, these outcomes represent a powerful shift that cannot be overstated.

Growing the Impact

The program began at Eklavya School and has since expanded to Baxipanch Ashram Shala and Vivekanand Vidyalaya Vankuwa, bringing new learning opportunities to additional students across Muni Seva Ashram. What started as a single-school initiative now supports 420+ girls annually across three campuses.

A Partnership That Makes Change Possible

This growth would not have been possible without the sustained partnership of the Guru Krupa Foundation. Their support has allowed C2C to strengthen learning systems, expand programming, and help tribal girls build the skills and confidence needed to pursue higher education and professional careers.

Together, we are not only improving academic outcomes.  We are expanding what girls believe is possible and we are helping hundreds of girls move toward brighter, self-determined futures.
