AI workshop at CSS
In November and December 2025, C2C delivered hands-on AI Literacy Workshops to high-risk girls across India, Nepal, and Bangladesh, reaching 1,083 students and 118 teachers and staff across eight partner institutions.
These workshops were designed not only to teach technology, but also to build confidence, curiosity, and ethical responsibility in a rapidly changing digital world. For many students, this was their first meaningful exposure to AI, and it reshaped how they see their futures.
As Teja Sri, a Class 9 student at CSS, shared:
“Earlier, AI felt very difficult. Now I know how to use AI for writing and studying. These classes are very useful for my future.”
What Students and Teachers Learned
Using C2C’s learner-centric approach, the workshops introduced participants to:
AI fundamentals and real-life applications in education, healthcare, and agriculture
Hands-on tools including ChatGPT, Canva AI, Google Teachable Machine, and Scratch with ML extensions
Ethical and responsible AI use, with an emphasis on privacy, bias awareness, and safe digital behavior
Teachers also learned how to use AI for lesson planning, assessments, and classroom communication, ensuring the impact extended well beyond the workshops themselves.
For older students, the learning sparked new aspirations. As Radhika, a Class 12 student at FFLV, explained:
“AI classes helped me see how AI can be used for higher studies and careers. Learning how to write structured content and books through AI was very inspiring.”
Measurable Impact
The results were powerful:
85% of students gained a clear understanding of AI basics
80% successfully used AI tools hands-on
65% expressed interest in future AI or STEM learning
81% of teachers felt confident integrating AI into their classrooms
69% of teachers began using AI tools after the workshops
Looking Ahead
The 2025 AI Workshops reinforced a core belief at C2C: when girls are given access to relevant skills and supportive learning environments, they rise. They move closer to economic independence, and ultimately, to having choice and agency in their lives.
By combining practical AI skills with strong ethical grounding, C2C is ensuring that girls from underserved communities are not left behind, but are prepared to participate confidently and responsibly in the digital future.
This is empowerment in action — one workshop, one skill, one girl at a time.
